The billing period follows your subscription's own anniversary rather than the calendar month, and a yearly subscription is divided into twelve monthly periods for this purpose. The charge is made shortly before the period boundary. If you schedule a cancellation, any outstanding overage is charged before the subscription ends, because a charge cannot be made once it has been cancelled. Billing history shows the dates of the period a charge covers rather than just the billing interval.
