Verify by text message
People leaving a voicegram can now verify with a code sent to their phone instead of their email. Their number appears in your inbox and is searchable.
Text verification is a paid-plan feature and is switched on per widget, so you decide which of your sites offer the Text (SMS) tab. The verified phone number is what you see in the notification email, in the inbox list, and on the recording detail page, and inbox search matches on part of a number. The activity timeline records plays by a phone-verified sender the same way it records plays by an email-verified one.
The phone step carries a country chip next to the number field with United States and Canada as the two options, so the supported region is visible before anyone submits. The number formats itself as it is typed into the familiar (555) 123-4567 shape, pasted numbers have stray prefixes and punctuation cleaned up, and a number that cannot work is caught in the recorder instead of after a round trip to the server. A number that is clearly international is left exactly as typed rather than reshaped into a plausible but wrong local one, and the same formatting applies to the phone field on the contact form.
